Dr. Eric Fryer has been practicing dermatology for over 20 years. He has spent his career focusing on general dermatology and has particular interests in acne, eczema, connective tissue disorders and the treatment and prevention of skin cancer. He particularly has enjoyed getting to know and understand his patients personally, as he believes that insight into how a person's skin condition affects his or her life is an integral part of successful treatment.
Dr. Fryer graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in all subjects from Cornell University. He then earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania where he also participated in basic science research in the field of dermatology. He completed an internship in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Thereafter he did his residency in dermatology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan where he served as Chief Resident. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Fryer is also a member of the New York State Medical Society and the Queens County Medical Society. He opened his private practice in 1994 and a few years later was fortunate enough to begin working along side his wife, Dr. Jennifer Fryer.
Jessica Schlussel is a native New Yorker who was raised in Long Island. She practices adult, pediatric, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. She attended New York University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Hebrew and Judaic studies. She then completed the Physician Assistant program at Touro College. She enjoys working collaboratively with Dr. Eric and Jennifer Fryer, providing a variety of services including diagnosis, treatment, surgical management of benign and malignant lesions, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, and educating and counseling patients. She loves connecting with her patients and helping them feel and look their best. Her outside interests include tennis, golf, and relaxing at home with her husband and 2 sons.
